IRON MAIDEN/DREAM THEATER Producer To Pen 'Tell-All' Book

May 12, 2003

Veteran producer Kevin Shirley has announced a deal with a London-based publisher for a "tall-all" book that will shed the light on "the fun shenanigans that have occurred during the making of a few of those albums on my discography!" Shirley writes on his official web site. "Expect the dirt on [IRON] MAIDEN, THE BLACK CROWES, AEROSMITH and [LED ZEPPELIN] amongst others, as I try and write my way, humorously, out of a paper bag! There may even be some adult material within. Also, I intend to give a bit of insight into the making of these records for folks looking for a more analytical overview of the processes involved. AND, I would like your title suggestions, and the winning title will get the credit and a copy of the first edition! I'll have to think of some other prize to spice it up too .... hmmmm! E-mail me your title suggestions to [email protected]. Perhaps I'll put them up on the site and let you choose! You might let me know who you are interested in learning the other side of as well!! Check the discography for ideas! Cheeky indeed, and I might never work again!!"
